About me

Welcome to Wanderlust in Korea — learn more about me and the journey that brought it to life.

A little about me!

I’m a nature enthusiast, coffee lover, dog mom, horse rider, and traveler with a passion for writing, reading, and discovering new things. I fully admit I’m a bit of a perfectionist — with a touch of procrastination thrown in — but somehow, everything always falls into place in the end.

What drives me most is my love for nature, animals, culture, and history — especially Korean culture and history. That passion keeps me constantly exploring, learning, and discovering more about the country I now call home. As a certified tour guide, I’m excited to share my knowledge and experiences with others who want to discover Korea’s unique beauty and rich traditions.

My path to becoming a tour guide in Korea

Originally from Austria, I grew up hiking in the mountains and traveling around Europe. After studying Egyptology, I decided to take a break and spend some time in Korea on a working holiday — and it didn’t take long for me to fall in love with everything here: the food, the history, the culture, and of course, the beautiful nature.

Eventually, Korea became my home. I got married here, learned the language, and kept exploring as much of the country as I could — from the busy streets and hidden corners of Seoul to the quiet mountains and national parks. After working for a travel company—where I was responsible not only for leading tours but also for marketing and communicating with government offices—I realized how much I enjoyed sharing my passion for Korea with others. That’s when I decided to turn guiding into my full-time profession.

Becoming a certified tour guide allows me to combine my love for history, nature, and Korean culture — and share everything I’ve discovered with travelers from around the world, whether it’s on a walking tour in Seoul or out hiking in Korea’s beautiful mountains.
